The
Aussie of the Month project aims to promote the concepts of civics, citizenship and
personal pride in primary school students. The award also reflects some of the values we
share as Australians including: a sense of fair play, generosity of spirit, commitment to
community participation and a real concern for our environment. At Porepunkah our students
gain recognition for the qualities we associate with being an 'all round good Australian!'
