A weir on the river with a small group on the edge. This weir was most likely built as part of the extensive gold mining operations in the area.

A picnic party on the lower slopes of Mt Buffalo. This group of local citizens are dressed in their finery for this special occasion.

One of the many swing bridges that were once prevalent in the district. They provided access over the Ovens and Buckland Rivers in all seasons.

A presentation being made, most likely to Pearson Tewksbury. (Gentleman with his hands behind his back and white hat) Tewksbury was responsible for the introduction of dredge mining to the area.
