| HOW
TO JOIN THE YARAANDOO AUSTRALIAN YOUTH INITIATIVES PROJECT |
KUMAMADJIN ART |
To formally join the project all you have to do is express an interest via e-mail or regular post. YAYIP is a not for profit organisation, but by joining the project you will gain the moral support of YAYIP in putting your ideas into practice, as well as a forum to display and gain recognition for what you are doing. There is no compulsion to join the project and you are free to utilise the simple ideas we have compiled in whatever way you feel befits your circumstances. | ![]() |

These simple
ideas are designed to be easily taken on board by various schools, cultural centres and
youth organisations, as a worthwhile component of what they already do. It could start at
late primary level, going through to post secondary. It would be wonderful to think that
facilities and workshops could be specifically set up or utilised by youth looking for the
opportunity to apply their talents in creative endeavour. Indeed the very concept of YAYIP is the result of serious reflection on the sadness of many of our youth and an attempt to add value and recognition to their lives through meaningful activities. |

We would be
delighted to know of any similar intiiatives and ideas we could share. If you know of a
project or have an idea that could be developed please let is know! We would be only too happy to showcase other similar projects and provide links from this page to other web sites on similar themes. Although originally designed to focus on 'Australian Indigenous Languages' there is no reason why these concepts can't be applied to other indigenous languages from around the globe. We would like to commend YAYIP activites to whosoever would like to try them! |
